- Conquering DH -

I wasn't feeling well after meeting up with Iz and Fozz, to discuss more about our Perhentian trip. It wasn't about the fear of taking the license or even the planning part or even the exam part..

By 1am, I was down with a fever. I was shaking and sweating, my joints were in pain. I took a few Panadols for every 4 hours and tried to sleep.

I forced myself to wake up after twice pressing the snooze button and I panicked. It was 6.30am and my OBC starts at 7am! Crap. Feeling down that I missed it for the first time for this month, I cried myself to sleep. Nah~ I just went to sleep though I felt so bad. Heheh..

Thanks to Rose when she informed me that I could just replace my session at Damansara Height's evening session. Yay, gonna ace this month!

So how was the evening session?

It took only 15 minutes from my office, against the traffic jams. So it wasn't that bad. I reached there pretty early and Sarge Dann, Corporal Nawal and Corporal Tom were there, unloading the "toys".

"Someone missed her session this morning??"

Damn. I smiled and helped them with the riffles. Fine, cubaan membodek disitu.

It rained like crazy before 6pm, so the field was pretty bad. But I was excited with that. I love getting down and dirty in the mud, don't judge me. By 6.30pm, the visitors and recruits from Alpha and Bravo started to come. Mingle here and there. Then the torture starts.

"Elias, how many more grunts left? Shaz, take 5 grunts from Elias.."

HOOYAH SARGE! And there I was, doing extra 5 grunts to help out the visitor, a dude. 15 grunts for me.

After that 1-hour session, we continued our "mingle around" session with the visitors where they asked us a lot about OBC. The usual question that they would ask, how many kilos I've lost after joining OBC. I told them, I gained 2 kg after one month and damn they were surprised. But that was the truth. Muscles are heavier than fats; I've gained weight but my jeans size dropped, clothes size smaller, feel fitter.

So, Friday is the last day for free trial OBC Damansara Heights, evening session (645pm-745pm). What are you waiting for? No harm trying right? Except for some dirt, mud and sweat. Heh!

It is official now that KLGCC's Management will be handling both KLGCC and Sime Darby Convention Center (SDCC)

With the workload that I am doing now here in KLGCC, I am here *tangan di hidung*.

To handle 500 staff it is crazy enough. And my boss just informed that he wants me to handle the HR portion for SDCC, with another 170 staff. I can handle 170 staff but to start from scratch, to clean up whatever crap the Division had left. Lagi membunuh diri kot?

I started off here in KLGCC with zero knowledge on HR. With a help from another HR Executive whose been doing HR for so many years, we managed only 180 staff. I was just handling Training, the other Executive handling Compensation & Benefits and Recruitment. Then she left. From there, I was handling 2 persons job, took it as a challenge la konon. I proved myself that I can do this. From 180 staff to 500 staff, from zero knowledge about HR, I know how it works, decision making etc. But that was it.

So now I am putting my feet down. I don't do work for free anymore. You want my expertise, give me something additional to keep me motivated. It is time to negotiate because all these while, it's just lack of recognition and appreciation.

Fair la kan?
