- KIPAS -
Malaysian Open will be on for the whole week next week, starting with the qualifying round and the Tournament itself on the weekend.
9pm-9.30pm.
The usual time for me to be back home for the past few days. Maybe it's normal for some of you guys out there, but it's totally different for me. My work usually involves during working hours but these days, it's not.
I know, I know. HR involve MMO? That's weird isn't it?
It's not.
When one's work being dump on you and you need to clean up the crap, you wouldn't want to jeopardize your work schedule the next day right? So what you got to do? You got to do what you got to do, as long as the next day, you can just need to focus on yours. Multitasking? This is more than 8 tangan, 8 kaki ala Dewa dah.
I'm tired..mentally especially.
And when some make remarks like "Ye ke busy sangat sampai takde masa?", I'd be so pissed off but I'd be so tired to be pissed off. I didn't even have time to go for a leak or to just have a bite when everything needs to be done URGENTLY or everything being dump on me. Please be considerate on this.
It's frustrating sometimes..all the time..A LOT!
Some would say it's an opportunity; being relied on that much but I think different. It's like being taken advantage of. I know how they work and I don't do what they do; ass-kissing. I'm just like a ruler, I do whatever I need to do but never have this thing to 'kipas'.
I don't mind if you want to 'kipas' or ass-kissing but just stop menjatuhkan orang. Just do whatever you wanna do, but please don't make others miserable or living like hell, doing YOUR job.

I can't believe it.

Paramore is will be performing in Singapore on the 7th of March 2010.
And I can't believe it.
Maybank Malaysian Open will be on 4th-7th of March 2010, at my workplace. And staff might have to be on duty.
Oh Paramore, you're so near yet so far. I shall see you guys soon, not next month, but someday. =)

- BETTER -
I deleted the previous entry because I posted it out of anger.
I was shaking after the incident, my heart was beating so fast. I was so angry with that kind of attitude but for me to walk away from that argument was the best decision.
Well, that's my thing.
I would walk away from that kind of argument just to avoid from being rude or say things that might hurt feelings (she's older maa..). Practically, I just don't want to serabut in that kind of drama. So, whatever.
I walk away, doesn't mean I lost the lame battle. I just don't want to downgrade myself to your level.
I felt better after I've analyzed the incident. I had to give the credit to myself for being so calm (calm la sangattt!). Haha..

2 movies with two of my favorite people, back to back..the movie that is.
It wasn't a wrong move to make reservation and to wake up that early on our public holiday. The queue was so long, shaping continuous S, from one end to the other. I couldn't help it but to 'show off' our tickets while walking away from the reservation counter. Hello people? Online la..hehehe!
First choice, Percy Jackson & the Olympians- The Lightning Thief.
I just knew it was from a book, series actually like Harry Potter.
Trouble-prone Percy Jackson is having problems in high school - but that's the least of his challenges. It's the 21st century, but the gods of Mount Olympus seem to have walked out of the pages of Percy's Greek mythology texts and into his life. Percy has learned that his real father is Poseidon, god of the sea, which means Percy is a demigod - half human, half god. At the same time, the powerful gods on Olympus are feuding, which could launch a war enveloping our entire planet.
The movie was awesome, with the CGIs and whatnot. We somehow recalled the Greek mythology, in a fun way.

Next movie after Fozz had something to munch, The Valentine's Day.
This romantic comedy follows the intertwining storylines of a
group of Los Angelinos as they find their way through love, romance, pressures and expectations over the course of one Valentine's Day.
With an all-star ensembles cast: Julia Roberts, Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Jennifer Garner, Ashton Kutcher, Anne Hathaway, Jamie Foxx, Queen Latifah, McDreamy, McSteamy, Taylor Swift, Taylor Lautner, Topher Grace...and the list goes on, we were overdosed with the A-listers.
Totally a chick-flick but it was warm & sweet. There were some teary moments, so please be prepared but extra preparation for the..well, just go and watch it. Nadz, cuba erase image tu ok?
We're supposed to catch The Wolfman around 4pm but we were too tired and still trying to process all the A-listers..seriously, so many of them! In Percy Jackson's, there were Pierce Brosnan, Uma Thurman, the dude from Lord of the Rings, Stella from CSI New York and also that army doctor in Grey's Anatomy. It was like, we need to relax to digest everything. Celebrity shock. Hahah!
Who wants to watch The Wolfman, please let me know.

- BOOKWORM -
I've finished John Ajvide Lindqvist's- Let The Right One In. Awesome but I got confused at times. (Fine, I have issues focusing on something. Heh..)
Anyhoo, now I'm starting with Kerry Reichs' The Best Day of Someone Else's Life. Ouch. Right after Aboon's wedding, seriously? Haha.
At 27, Vi is funny, friendly and on the lookout for Prince Charming. She has an apartment in Washington, works as a wine buyer for a gourmet store, and has a posse of girlfriends who meet every Sunday at Clyde's bar for therapy sessions. And she's still a sucker for weddings.Honestly, the first few chapters, my jaw dropped and went, "Vi equals Shazu??" and crazy ideas started to play in my head. The book supposed to be "Totally Shazu's Life". Haha! It's getting better. It has kept me occupied for these few days.
I'm trying to get back to this nerdy-book-wormy-mode again (nerdy is the new black y'all..look at Nadz and her spectacles. Hihi..) I used to love to read back then but due to workload, I tend to neglect the 'hobby'. One of the 2010 resolutions is that I want to at least read one book a month. It's doable isn't it?
So far, I'm doing alright.

- SLEEPY -
I've been having some trouble sleeping lately.
Must've been the weather, super hot kan? Or something wrong with the hormones or something? I'm no expert.
I'd sleep at 10.30pm coz I'd be so tired and sleepy but by 12.30am, I'd be wide awake. Feeling like I've slept more than 8 hours. It's very frustrating coz I know my body is still recharging, my mind need the rest, proper rest that is. So waking up after just 2 hours of sleep, I'd try to do something to get back to slumber land.
Last night, I continued reading John Ajvide Lindqvist's- Let The Right One In. I thought I'd be asleep after two pages, but I've finished reading 6 chapters instead and slept around 3am. The story reminded me of Twilight in a way but this one came out long before Twilight and it's a darker version. The vampire fiction was written in 2004, by the Swedish writer (Stephanie Meyers, apa cerr??). The story centers on the relationship between a 12-year-old boy, Oskar, and a centuries-old vampire child, Eli. It takes place in Blackeberg, a working class suburb of Stockholm, in the early 1980s. The book focuses on the darker side of humanity, dealing with issues such as bullying, drugs, theft, pedophilia, prostitution and murder as well as the obvious supernatural themes. The book was a bestseller in the author's home country of Sweden and was made into a movie in 2008 in Sweden. It was widespread critical acclaim and won a few awards; Best International Film etc. An English-language film adaptation, to be directed by Matt Reeves, is scheduled for release in 2010. Ready Atie?

As you guys know, I got back from Umrah recently.
Honestly, I think the trip has changed the my inner self, you know, into a better soul. I'm not saying that I'm 100% changed to an angel but I think and feel differently in things/life.
So when some of my colleagues said things like "tak guna you pegi umrah, bising jugak.." or "betul ke you ni gi umrah, ke gi bercuti? Perangai sama je.." it hurts. Do I have to change the way I am; the loudness, the hoo-haas?
I thought this Umrah visit is between my soul and God, I'm trying to improve myself to be a better person in and out, but don't expect me to be like super alim, overnight. You know what I mean? I mean, I'm still me but I'm trying to be a better person in a way of..solat cukup no matter the situation, be more patient about things and stuff like that. I thought of starting with the minor things first and we'll go from there la kan?
I don't know.
The trip did change me. It's the inside that matters. The outside is just a mask.
Whatever. I don't have to prove myself to anyone. He knows.

- I've cut my hair short again. Pixie short to be exact.I couldn't sleep for the past few days (it has been really hot, wasn't it?). So, out of frustration with the lack of sleep (or judgment), I went and did it. Super short. Surprisingly the chicas love it, suits me kata mereka. Harap begitu la. Haha..
- I'm craving for more adventure. I've been bugging my chicas with an email, telling them how much I miss doing activities with them. Actually, I've been going through the photo albums in my FB and I don't know..suddenly feels like "I need to do something!" and the boredom and addiction for adventure just kicked in. Hi. I'm Shazreen. I'm an adventure/activities addict.
- I need to check my eyes. My last pair of contact lens is due this month. I need to get the new pack and check my eyes at the same time. Blur when watching tv and driving. Not old ok? Just tired eyes..maybe..denial? No.

Today I had to bring back work home. Surprise! Surprise! Something I wouldn't do. How much I hate to do it but I had to. 3 weeks of stress-free and my complexion has improve drastically. But just half a day with the Boss today, 2 zits on the forehead. Sigh.
It's already 11.43pm..back to this crap. Need to email it by tonight. I'm sure I had to go to the office early tomorrow, before the Board Meeting at 9am.
