- GUEST -

Dengan rasa hina diri, rasa diri ini penuh dengan dosa, merendahkan diri, menangis dan bersyukur kepadaNya kerana Dia masih menerima diri ini menjadi tetamuNya.

Alhamdulillah.

I'm back; with a bad cough due to ice-cream Mekah yang diwar-warkan Atie (it's worth the cough yo!), some extra weight (kebab, rice etc) and hopefully with a better, improved soul. Insya-Allah.

- REMEMBER? -

I just got the time to check my Hotmail inbox and got some updates from my brother, Abang Ril in Brunei. The whole family finally moved to Brunei in December 2009 after my brother got a better offer there a year before.

Mom was pretty worried about the girls but I think they'd be alright with the new school, new friends and being exposed to new environment. Abang Ril emailed us the pictures of them on their first day of school in Brunei and seriously, adorable isn't it?

Aisyah is now in Standard 1. Dijah is in kindergarten (awesome outfit for Dijah kan? That's Britney yo!) Hehe..

As for the older batch (Abang Riz's kids), Erin is now in Form 1, still waiting for the results of which MRSM she would be in. Raziq is in Standard 5 and Karmila is in Standard 4. How time flies huh?

Do you remember your first day of school?

I don't really remember my first day of school in Kota Bharu, though that was my very first first day of school as a Standard 1 student. I don't really like my classmates. Seriously I still don't know why Dad didn't enroll me in Zainab 2 instead when my cousin, Sabrina was there, with all my friends from kindergarten. Plus, I'd know Asni earlier. Heh. But I got stuck in Zainab 1 for almost 7 months and I got no friends but with an annoying older cousin in Standard 4.

But I do remember my first day of school in SKTTDI, KL. Dad got transfered to Kementerian Pendidikan KL, and it was somewhere like 2 months away before end of the year. I walked in Satu Berlian and I felt like I just don't fit in with these people. They speak excellent English (and I don't know a bit, seriously.) and they've got their own clan by now. I got none. But thank God I got 2 older cousins in the same school to take care of me. But both Damak and Carl were in Standard 3, so their school session was in the afternoon. But when they were there for soccer practice, they'd look out for me. Take that bullies!

It was a torture.

I cried every time Mom had to drop me off; ended up with her staying at the canteen during recess. If I didn't see her in my sight, I'd run to the gate and screamed my lungs out. I felt like it was a prison. I just need Mom to be there to watch my back. Dad lectured me everyday about this but he just don't get it. It was hard for me to make new friends at the end of the semester. I can't even understand what they were talking about. I can't remember their names. Damn.

Standard 2 began in SRK Convent Infant Jesus 1, Melaka and I stayed there for 5 years. It was awesome. I started fresh, new faces and I got the time to actually get to know them (even get my own gang..one of the coolest of course!) Haha..

Primary school..what a drama. No?

- UNO -

I just got to know her name. It's Karen.

I saw her every morning at the car park, both of us would be rushing for work, for the past 3 years.

This morning was different. She said hello and asked if my apartment was the other got robbed in. My jaw dropped.

Her apartment was broke into on the 1st January and there was another. She thought it was mine. I told her, no. She noticed me all these while, all alone going off to work, coming back from work. I noticed the same thing about her too.

Just like her, I stayed on the top floor, all by myself and no wonder she thought I was the other victim.

She told me that she brought her 'weekend-bag' the day before the break-in, to stay with a friend and the people must've marked her. She had 3 locks on her door, the grill, the padlock and the door-lock..all got opened with no force. The thieves must've had a lot of time to do it. She got back from her friend's house at 10pm and there, her door was wide opened.

"We should keep in touch. They are watching..you know, marking you're alone."

I nodded.

Now I'm worried. Number 1 is now a dangerous number, no?

- 90's -

It's totally a chillaxing Sunday for me.

I was sitting in front of the TV, with the Famous Amos leftovers from KK airport in front of me, enjoying the series of FRIENDS and also While You Were Sleeping.

Don't give me that pathetic look. I know I've watched FRIENDS millions of times.

Despite being put together in the 90s, the writing isn't dated and the subjects approached still hit pretty close to home. I found myself laughing (and crying) at key moments eventhough I've watched every episode at least more than 10 times. The show has this effect on me tremendously.

Chandler cracks me up every single time. I cried when Rachel and Ross broke up. I laugh my heads off with Phoebe's innocent remarks. I felt honored with Joey's loyalty. Monica is the 'mother' to the group, reminded me of Natt.

Six young people, on their own and struggling to survive in the real world, find the companionship, comfort and support they get from each other to be the perfect antidote to the pressures of life..just like me, struggling to survive in this life with the support from my chicas.

So, who cares if I've watched it 10 times before?

Same goes with the other 90's movies; The Little Rascals, Little Giants, Home Alone, Forrest Gump, Dances with Wolves, Jurassic Park, Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, Legends of the Fall, My Bestfriend's Wedding, City of Angels, The Truth About Cats and Dogs etc.

You could watch it again and again, feeling the warmth and While You Were Sleeping, is the best kind of modern fairy-tale. In this cruel world and at this age, sometimes we just need to be reminded that everyone deserves a happy ending. Honestly, these 90's movies like While You Were Sleeping has wooed us, the ladies, to give chance on love, to keep on believing. With a lot of hard work, and a little luck probably, and ending can come out like you want it. There's a Prince Charming for everyone. He's out there. He's the worth the wait..

So my new year resolution? Not really a resolution, but just a dream for 2010; to be swept off my feet.

Yeah right. *rolled eyes* Hahah! Excuse that attitude.

Tomorrow's Monday. I hate Mondays.

- REVIEW -

Two movies in two days, it was pretty relaxing.

The Princess and The Frog.

This is what Disney does best and in the 2-D style which we have grown up knowing and loving.

With the songs and innocent humor, it's an entertaining watch. Just when you think you've seen it all, you may be surprised.

The story about Tiana, a girl who never believed in fairytales and kissing frogs until she met a frog named Prince Naveen that longs to be human again. I got distracted with Louise, the Jazz-lover aligator. (Thanks a lot Nana and Copot!)

Prince Naveen is hot but my ultimate Disney crush would be Aladdin and Simba. Now, that's HOT! Hahah..

Next movie was chosen by Atie.

Cirque Du Freak: The Vampire Assistant.

Cirque Du Freak tells the frightening tale of a boy who unknowingly breaks a 200-year-old truce between two warring factions of vampires. Pulled into a fantastic, life of misunderstood sideshows freaks and grotesque creatures of the night, one teen will vanish from the safety of a boring existence and fulfill his destiny in a place drawn from nightmares.

Crepsley: Use your nails. It's our weapon.
(Darren tried to slash the tree with his nails.)
Darren: Oh, I broke my nail!
Crepsley: You broke your nail??? (rolled his eyes)

The movie is quite witty and I enjoyed it, except that I was bothered by a horrible B.O with the dude next to me. Sigh.

-O-TEN-

waktu terasa semakin berlalu
tinggalkan cerita tentang kita
akan tiada lagi kini tawamu
tuk hapuskan semua sepi dihati..

ada cerita tentang aku dan dia
dan kita bersama saat dulu kala
ada cerita tentang masa yang indah
saat kita berduka saat kita tertawa..
teringat disaat kita tertawa bersama
ceritakan semua tentang kita..

Hello 2010.

Another great year passed by and it has been quite a journey for 2009.

Faced a few ups and downs in friendships: chance to meet new people, new friends, and also not so nice arguments along the way. I guess that's just some lessons to learn about life. Still no special relationship for me this year (bummer!). Traveled to a few places with my close friends. Gone through a few adventures and I learned something new about myself: I crack-under-pressure for the first 30 minutes. Work has been crazy, I cried and bought a few expensive stuff because of it. Above all the stuff been happening, glad that I shared the wonderful moments with my great friends.

New year resolutions? No specific ones..err, yeah right! Haha! My focus is it's gonna be the year for me to start something new, something fresh, to be better person & Muslimah in life. And hope new exciting things to share with the people I love..
