- WITH ME -

Idya and Atie suggested to listen to the song 'You Belong With Me' by Taylor Swift because of the lyrics. I requested the song from my JukeBox (Natta everloveeee!!) and got the lyrics. I smiled, like really smiled. What do you know..if I got this song earlier, I might be gluk2 all over but now, na-da. Whatever it is, the lyrics is so cute and no wonder Taylor is such a hit with the young ones (not that I'm saying I'm a big fan, ...or young..) but the way she writes her songs, like she's telling her stories, some stories that could relate with the listeners. You know, heartbreaks, first love, crushes..

You Belong With Me- Taylor Swift

you're on the phone with your girlfriend, she's upset
she's going off about something that you said
coz she doesn't get your humor like I do

I'm in the room, it's a typical Tuesday night
I'm listening to the kind of music she doesn't like
and she'll never know your story like I do

but she wears short skirts, I wear T-shirts
she's Cheer Captain and I'm on the bleachers
dreaming about the day when you wake up and find
that what you're looking for has been here the whole time

if you could see that I'm the one who understands you
been here all along, so why can't you see me?
you, you belong with me, you belong with me..

walking the streets with you and your worn-out jeans
I can't help thinking this is how it ought to be
laughing on a park bench, thinking to myself
hey, isn't this easy?

and you've got a smile that could light up this whole town
I haven't seen it in a while since she brought you down
you say you're fine, I know you better than that
hey, what ya doing with a girl like that?

she wears high heels, I wear sneakers
she's Cheer Captain and I'm on the bleachers
dreaming about the day when you wake up and find
that what you're looking for has been here the whole time

if you could see that I'm the one who understands you
been here all along, so why can't you see?
you belong with me

standing by and waiting at your back door
all this time how could you not know?
baby, you belong with me, you belong to me

oh, I remember you driving to my house in the middle of the night
I'm the one who makes you laugh when you know you're about to cry
and I know your favorite sings and you tell me about your dreams
think I know where you belong
think I know it's with me

Zaman dulu punya cerita..heh!

- SMILE..NOT? -

CheMek walking with a colleague to the outlet when they passed by a few members. CheMek smiled to one of them. CheMek and the colleague continued walking, passed by some golf course general worker. CheMek smiled to them (dalam hati dok menyanyi, dudududu..such a beautiful day..)

Colleague: Why you senyum kat diorg? You kenal ke?

CheMek: Huh? Which one?

Colleague: Mamat2 course tu? You kenal ke?

CheMek:
Huh? No..(mata panik, salah ke?)

Colleague: You senyum kat diorg kenapa?

CheMek: Being friendly...?? (semakin slow tempo and nada menaik..)

Colleague: Pelik la you ni..

Did you listen to Flyfm this morning? How Nadia was scolded by a girl for smiling at the boyfriend? To her defends, that dude smiled at her first, recognized her from the billboard. I couldn't stop laughing, I went through something similar too (not that I have my face on the billboard..huhuh!)

So, it's wrong nowadays to smile at people you don't know? I was just being friendly, you know, smile and a nod when you have eye-contact with a person, just to acknowledge that you saw him/her. Not that I was being gedik or smile while licking my lips or something..(eeuuuwwww!!) hahaha! It was just an innocent-hello smile. Sheesh. Whatever. Janji PR ok. Isn't it?

I've been fasting since yesterday. And I almost crack-under-pressure yesterday, in front of my nieces and nephew. I've never been so tired. Kept on asking Erin to tukar channel 1 for azan, and she got annoyed (hehe!!), then I was lying flat on the floor. Even when my nephew wanted to lalu, he excused himself so many times but I just lied there...too..tired..to..move..(you should see his face, muka annoyed abes dgn aunty dia!!) hahaha..free entertainment.

2 days down, 2 more to go.

- FALLEN -

I've waited for so long to watch Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen. Hoping it would give me the thrill like the first one did but, well..it was just alright. Suprised?

Revenge of the Fallen is the bigger, longer, more expensive and completely unnecessary sequel to the amusing 2007 blockbuster about giant alien robots that transform into cars and trucks while causing epic amounts of property damage.

The first installment of the sure-to-be-long-running franchise was a perfectly formed slice of funny, explosive, slo-mo mayhem that found a massive worldwide audience. For the sequel, it was clearly the director's intention to paint Revenge of the Fallen on an epic canvas. It's more of the same - a lot more. Two years on from Transformers, the Autobots are still on earth, now allied with the US military, working together to protect the earth from further Decepticon attacks. It is also clear that Bay has refined and improved his technique when it comes to directing action since the first Transformers. Many found the robot-on-robot fighting in T1 over-edited and often you couldn't even tell which Transformer was fighting which.

With the new characters such as the Twins; Skids & Mudflap, Jetfire, Sideswipe from the Autobots and Soundwave, The Fallen, Ravange from the Decepticons, the Wheelie surely stole our hearts like Bumblebee did in the first one.

Did I manage to get Idya to love this movie? I guess she didn't actually love it, but she surely had a good laugh, kan?

I just love Bumblebee.

I've been babysitting my nieces and nephew (the first batch) since Saturday, my brother and Mrs went to Bangkok for some work. The routine with Erin, Raziq and Karmila was much less drama, unlike the little ones in Rawang. But when dealing with the 'youngsters', I had to deal with homeworks, questions and whatnot. Not to forget, to deal wth the hormones, you know, PMS.. The challenge was different but not as tiring. All you need is some thick skins and hati yang keras so that you won't get emotional when they started to show their 'tak puas hati' faces. Well, I got to be cruel to be kind, kids. Just deal with that.

Geram, nak marah, tergelak, kecik hati, sayang, irritated. Well, kids surely know how to play with your emotions. Sigh.

- KING -

He created MoonWalk. He started with the 'epic' videoclips (because he was the only one could afford for a 10 minutes videoclip). He had a Neverland ranch. He believed he was Peter Pan, the boy who never grows up.

The boy who never grows up..passed away this morning, at the age of 50.

Most of us grew up with his beats, his songs. My favourite, definately Smooth Criminal. I even played a Sega game of Smooth Criminal back then with my cousins (I never get to do the special power, the MoonWalk, dem!)

May you rest in peace, Michael Jackson.

- DRAG -

Drag Me to Hell.

Ok, it was more like drag-me-outta-here! Hahah..

I walked into the cinema as a complete horror hater, just to spend some time with Idya who by the way, LOVES this kind of genre. I'd never sat through a horror movie without my hands over my eyes most of the time, counting the minutes until it could just be over and I could stop dreading what's going to jump out at me from behind the corner. And I'll admit, there were parts of Drag Me to Hell where I was intently focused to the screen, terrified to figure out what was making that awful creaking noise. But good Lord, I'm not sure I've ever had more fun in a movie theater. Idya and I were laughing with our eyes covered, like there's no other business.

Drag Me to Hell's biggest blessing is its humor, which ranges from random one-liners from background characters to an entire, hilariously awkward dinner scene where Christine meets Clay's parents. The best is when the horror elements combine, and you find yourself laughing in a combination of terror and delight. The Director surely got an uncanny knowledge of what the audience feels and wants, ratcheting up the tension at a perfect pace, throwing in an extra scare when the pace slows down, bringing back side characters exactly when you start missing them. In the movie's tight 99-minute running time, not a moment feels wasted.

Lohman, with her willowy frame and wide brown eyes, is the perfect heroine, a waif barely able to fight back at first but eventually summoning reserves of strength and even sadism as her fight gets more desperate-- and, to some degree, cruel. Christine's character development is crucial for keeping Drag Me away from sadism, letting us know that even though she might not have deserved this curse, she's not the worst candidate for all this torment. But it's Raver, done up with wrinkles and crazy dentures, who keeps the whole thing flying, and whom Raimi clearly loves most. Mrs. Ganush dies halfway through the film but keeps popping back up anyway, because everyone knows her greenish talons are scarier than anything else in the movie.

Honestly, it was scary but at the same time, you'll be making faces like, wadefff?!?! Hahaha..go check it out! You need a break.

What's next? Of course a date with Optimus Prime.

Thanks to Natt, now I'm in dilemma whether to cut my hair or not. Then I've decided. I'm so gonna do it. I'm gonna have my pixie cut, but need to spice things up with some highlights maybe. There's no turning back. Adios hair..

If you were the office equipment, what would you be?

Natta: Photostat machine. She really knows how to imitate everything in split seconds.
Fozz: Shredder. What comes in, surely jahanam?? Hahah..
Nadz: Binding comb. Do we have to say more? Hahaha!
Dekin: Ruler. Yes, that straight.
Moi: Disket. Old school abes and limited info je boleh save. Hahaha..
Qaf: Blackboard. (Though he didn't give us his answer, but we know..hahaha!!)

A game that kept us entertained on our 6 hours journey to the jetty Tanjung Gemuk, from office equipment to the music intruments. Weekend on the Tioman island with these bunch was surely a bliss. Such a relaxing weekend, with the beautiful view, the breeze, waking up to the sound of waves.. If only Jib and Nana could join us.

Thanks to Qaf for dealing with our 'ketenangan-melampau' disaat boat menunggu and for taking care of everything. Ladies, what's next?!

- VAMP -

I've confessed a few times that I'm scared of vampires since I was little. No matter how scared I was with them, there's always some 'attraction' that could make me watch the movies, even dicelah2 jari..

But as you get older, you'd understand why those feelings keep on lingering, the attraction to watch the movie (besides the actors), it's the vampires itself ke? I have no idea. Until today, I read it just now and I couldn't stop smiling and nodding. Hahah..

The website AskMen has a feature up about reasons vampires appeal to women, and how guys can use this knowledge to their advantage. I'll just put up those I think is so relevant and you can read the rest on the website. Would you agree with some of these, or are they just wishful thinking? For example:

10- Vampires are loners

9- Vampires require no commitment during the day

8- Vampires dress well

7- Vampires love necking

6- Vampires are moody

No.5 - Vampires are persuasive

Vampires have a calming demeanor. They are suave, smooth and soft-spoken, and the women eat it up. They convince the smart and savvy women that their odd behavior is on the up-and-up. They even convince them it’s cool to suck blood. How hard is that?

No.4 - Vampires search forever to find "her"

Woman love to think they were destined to be with one man for the rest of their lives. They love the romantic angle of a soul mate -- two people destined to meet, fall in love and be together forever. Now imagine that man is just as eager to find her and has been searching for untold centuries. It knocks a woman off her feet like a silver bullet through the heart. When a vampire sinks his teeth (figuratively) into a woman, he makes her feel like the only woman in the world. It’s no wonder women fall hard -- then again, it could also be the blood loss.

No.3 - Vampires are romantic

Give those dead, bloodsucking bastards credit: they know how to romance the pants off a woman. The setting is always dark and mysterious and the atmosphere is just right for doing something dirty. The full moon seems to follow them wherever they go. One of the reasons women love vampires is that they know how to pull all the tricks to make the setting perfect. Also working to their advantage is that they don’t do much talking to ruin the moment. They’ve also had years of practice.

No.2 - Vampires are powerful

Vampires exude two types of power. The first is the raw, physical power. The vampire is always in phenomenal shape; it must be the low carbs/high blood diet and tons of sleep. The second type of power is mental. He's usually a manipulative bastard who can match brains as much as brawn. This amazing one-two combo is a major reason women love vampires. Moreover, it’s almost impossible to kill a vampire. You think he’s dead? Nope. Still not dead.

No.1 - Vampires are the ultimate bad boys

Women love bad boys (do I have to say more?!). Now mix in the fact that a vampire is searching for eternal love and needs a woman to survive; you’ve got yourself the ultimate bad boy. He answers to no one, lives by his own rules, wears nice clothes, and is hated by millions of living people. He is the man her mother warned her about except with more guy-liner and lip gloss than either of them could have ever predicted. He isn’t just bad, he’s dead. Beat that!

OMG, right? Hahah..

Two and a half down and 3 to go..
Congratulations to Natt & Qaf on their engagement!

I got to say, I'm so glad that now I have those freaking 3 Man.United tickets. I've been calling all the Nike boutiques and Al-Ikhsan and all they can say, sold out. Frustrated in a way, not because I'm a Man.U fan but the thought of not giving it to Raziq for his 10th birthday just break my heart. He had no idea but he's still waiting for his birthday gift from me and I've been avoiding him. Heheh..not anymore, Ajiq!! So gonna give him the ticket before my flight back to KB. Hope he likes it (better be!!).

Atie's text this morning was just a slap to reality.

Less than 3 weeks left before Idya's wedding, before she moves out. The thought of it just drained out the cheerfulness in me. She's been in Temerloh during the weekend and I just didn't get a good night sleep. I'd wake up in the middle of the night and all I could hear is pure silence and I just couldn't go back to sleep. Not that Idya likes to be loud at night or anything, but the thought of that empty room next to mine, just..the silence is different. If only you could understand..let's not be sad about it! Let's cherish the coming days left, and laugh our hearts out during CSI.

What else? Oh, I love to shop with Nadiah when she had her coffee. Heheh..I just found out yesterday what coffee could make her, the shopaholic Nadiah. =))

Happy Monday!

"Before she runs off and is his bride, let's spend one last night by her side.."

Date/Day: 30th May 2009 (Saturday)
Venue: Le Paris, PD

Organizers: Shazu', Atie and Marr

Thanks to those who could make it to the simple getaway. Idya, we hope you had a great time. To the organizers, well done. Heheh..

Rachel: Y'know, I mean we're gonna see each other all the time.
Monica:
But still, it's a big change. The end of an era, you might say!
Rachel: Are you okay? You're not blinking.
Monica:
I'm fine! I just, I’m thinking how much it's an end of era.
Rachel:
But y'know I gotta say, I don't, I don't think six years counts as an era.
Monica:
An era is defined as a significant period of time. Now, it was significant to me, maybe it wasn't significant to you!
Rachel: What is the matter with you?!
Monica:
What is the matter with you?!! Why aren’' you more upset?! Aren't you gonna be sad that we're not gonna be living together anymore?! I mean aren't you gonna miss me at all?!
Rachel: All right, fine, but don't get mad at me. It's-it's just a little hard to believe.
Monica: Yeah, sweetie.
Rachel: I mean we're not, we're not gonna live together anymore?
Monica:
No.
Rachel:
What? Oh my God! I'm gonna miss you so much!
Monica:
I'm gonna miss you!
Rachel:
I mean it's the end of an era!
Monica:
I know!

I know Idya's wedding is like a month away as she's been busy with the invitation cards and whatnot. But it hit me hard when I saw a few of her stuff were put into boxes, then I realized that she's gonna be moving out in a month time! I totally forgot about that!

She's been staying with me for almost 4 years, if I'm not mistaken. Been through a lot, the ups and downs. We've fought, we've cried, we've laughed and we've shared. So it's gonna be hard for me to be home in months to come. Usually I'll be home, though she's not back yet but I know, she'll be home later. But now, the thought of her not coming back for real, my heart just ache. I'll be..alone.

It is the end of an era and..she's going to live with a boy!! Huaaaaa!!

I just watched the exclusive premier trailer for "New Moon" which was launched on MTV Movie Awards 2009 today (disaat dok buat appraisal for year end bonus and watnot). I got goosebumps all over and it surely made my Monday a better day. =) Terus bersemangat membuat kerja!! Hahaha..

I just can't wait for the movie. Come on, it's from my favorite book from all the saga and I'm sure it's gonna be awesome. Atie, block la datemu itu coz you're so gonna be my date! Mangsa garu. Heheh!

By the way, did you guys see the shirtless picture of Edward for the "The Kiss" scene in Italy? I was practically drooling. *melting*

Happy Monday everyone. I'm off for a jog with K.Naj.
